TFS 2012 Update 2: Version Control Changes

The TFS Web Access Source tab was renamed to “Code” in TFS 2012 Update 2:

I noticed a few differences:

When viewing a file’s content, you now get colored syntax (before it was all black & white):

Changeset history is grouped by date rather than having one long list of changesets:

Better compare experience with side-by-side comparison and in-line comparisons:

You are now able to search by changeset ID:

You can also get much more detailed information when viewing a changeset’s details:

From there, you can group your changes by path, changetype, and also view your source control explorer “as of this version”.

The Shelveset section also changed with a new UI and you can search for shelvesets from other people in your team:
