DevPro article on TFS & Git integration

As you may have noticed by now, I’m a big proponent of Git and the great workflow that it provides developers.

Now that Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2013 provides the option to use either Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC) or Git for your source control repository, you need to understand the pros and cons of each option. If you decide to use Git, you need a good plan so that your transition is smooth and so that you get the biggest benefit from Git.

I wrote an article for DevPro about Git and Team Foundation Server and it was published this week.  In this article, I explain the benefits of using Git.

And if you want to learn more about Git from a Visual Studio developer’s perspective, check out my Pluralsight course:
Git for Visual Studio Developers
As a developer that works primarily with Visual Studio, you may be used to working with a Centralized Version Control System. This course shows you how to use and get the most out of Git while staying inside of your Visual Studio IDE. The course covers Visual Studio 2010, 2012, and 2013 and shows you new capabilities introduced by Git inside of TFS 2013.
